Skin tags (acrochordons) are very common, small, harmless skin growths. They usually present as a flesh colored bump sticking out of the skin.  They form primarily in areas of friction such as the groin, body folds, armpits, neck, and eyelids. They are more common in people who are obese and often become irritated in those areas due to skin rubbing against skin.  Removal of a skin tag can easily be performed with cryosurgery, scissor removal, or electrodessication.
