Dr. Seward obtained his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Ohio, graduating first in his class. He completed his Internship at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Continuing his education, Dr. Seward completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. During his residency, he was awarded the coveted Excellence in Clinical Education Award as the most outstanding teacher in the School of Medicine. Dr. Seward is a frequent speaker to community groups about skin health and skin cancer. He is also a clinical instructor for the CMC-Union Family Medicine Residency based in Monroe, NC and the CMC Urgent Care Fellowship.
Dr. Grattan received her medical degree from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine, graduating first in her class. She was also awarded membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her internship at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, followed by her residency training in dermatology at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Grattan’s professional interests include general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. LaRocque received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Sun Coast Hospital in Florida, Dr. LaRocque completed a three-year accredited residency in Dermatology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. During her residency, she was awarded the prestigious Stelwagon Award presented by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. In addition to lecturing at national meetings on several topics in the field of dermatology, she has participated in dermatologic research and is the author of many scientific papers.
Lesslie Durst, PA-C, obtained her undergraduate degree in History from Davidson College. While at Davidson, she received a grant supporting her medical missions work at a public children’s hospital in Honduras. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended the Medical University of Charleston, graduating with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Lesslie has presented medical topics to various groups including the South Carolina Hispanic Health Coalition. She has seven years of dermatology experience treating patients with a wide range of general and cosmetic skin problems and has a special interest in the management of acne. She is Board & Surgery certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board.
Lisa Matuga, PA-C, obtained her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western Michigan University. She has served as a licensed dietician with the University of Michigan Hospital System and also practiced as a licensed aesthetician in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has spent the last four years practicing general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology in Charlotte. She is Board & Surgery certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board. Lisa provides patients with thorough management of acute and chronic skin disorders, with a special emphasis on medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She also actively participates in community skin cancer screenings to promote skin cancer awareness and prevention.
